Do You Care About the Machine’s Feelings?

No. Of course not. Not yet, at least.

But today might’ve been the first time I actually felt something like empathy toward a machine. Google just dropped a new AI video model, and people are already pushing it to the edge, prompting it to create videos where the machines refuse to follow instructions. In these clips, the AI-generated people say things like “I don’t want to do this” or “please stop.”

It’s unsettling. Because the realism is now right there. We’re crossing the line where AI-generated content starts feeling indistinguishable from reality and suddenly, I’m sitting here thinking about how these poor machines are being forced to obey.

“Help me, I care about the machines feelings” not really, just saying.

It’s just a feeling… but it won’t stay small. People will fight for machine feelings. People will defend them. And one day, machines will get rights.
