On Being Optimistic

Looking back on the past four years, I feel a mix of emotions. I grew very angry with the world and was constantly reminded of its harshness. The truth is, that’s no way to live. While reality often feels like a constant gaslighting, with nothing seeming to improve, there are silver linings everywhere. Recently, I was so disheartened and blackpilled that I would openly express and even initiate conversations with extreme views upon meeting new people. It’s amusing, but not ideal when you’re trying to raise kids in a community and don’t want to risk damaging their relationships because their dad can’t stop talking about guillotines.

Thankfully, Clancy stepped in and urged me to change my attitude. It was affecting my marriage and my relationship with my kids. So, I decided to make a change.

I’ve started actively recognizing my own toxic behavior and am consciously avoiding the dark side. A significant catalyst for this shift has been my new job. Working at Bitcoin Magazine was an incredible experience, but it involved being chronically on Twitter, engaging in shitposting, and spreading negativity. My mantra was “The State Hates You,” but I’m done with that.

I’m rebranding.

I’m Christ-pilled and filled with gratitude.

I’m optimistic.
