I did it. I was hitting limits on the entry plan and said yolo. It has been a month, and I have built out two apps now. It is pretty crazy what is possible with Claude and VSCode, but you still have to juggle building and getting users. I think getting users is proving to be one of the more difficult parts of shipping.
For one, I do not have a ton of users to get feedback from, but I do have around 200 registered users. Now I am trying to find a way to keep them engaged and ship updates they actually want. What I have learned is that my target demo is not cypherpunks. They need big buttons and easy buttons. They want to click to get things, not mess with filters. I have also learned that I might have a problem with tables. I mean I knew it, but the fact I thought I could build a product on a pivot table concept is laughable. Anyway, here we are.
So what are the big challenges now?
I have insane data sets, and I have to present them in very simple wrappers so my target demo can actually use them.
I have to make marketing that clearly communicates the value proposition to users. The problem is that I have pivoted the positioning of the main app.
Also, I think I am grossly under-allocated on growth marketing. I have a very high level understanding of the channels, but I have never really executed growth marketing. So I am going to change that. Max plan can build anything if you know how to prompt, so I will apply that same logic to growth marketing. LFG.
